The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
